The desk is staffed from seven until eleven at night, and after that the night bell to the left of the door is answered within a few minutes. Bags can be left behind the desk before check-in and after check-out on the day you leave.

Yes, breakfast is included with every room and served in the front room from half past seven until half past ten, and until half past eleven on Sundays. Eggs are cooked to order. If you are leaving before it opens, ask the night before and a tray is left outside your door.

The house is at the quiet end, six minutes south of the lit stretch. The seaward face is double glazed and every room has blackout blinds. Courtyard rooms hear nothing at all. Corridor quiet hours run from eleven at night, and the top-floor games room is closed to the corridor by its own door and stair.

Two ground-floor courtyard rooms are step-free from the seaward ramp, with wide doorways, level-access showers and grab rails. The lift runs from the ground floor to the third landing; the fourth floor is reached by stair only. Assistance animals are welcome throughout, including the supper club.

Not at all. It is a separate arrangement from your room, booked night by night. The parade has plenty of places to eat, and the desk will tell you which are still serving late. On Mondays and Tuesdays the kitchen is closed and a cold tray can be sent to your room until nine.

Yes, with two days' notice, because the board menu is built around what the boats land. A full vegetable version of every menu is written alongside the main one. Tell us in your enquiry rather than on the night and the kitchen will build a plate rather than take a course away.

It is unheated saltwater refilled by the tide, so it runs between about nine degrees in winter and nineteen at the end of summer. There is no lifeguard. Under-sixteens must have an adult with them at the poolside, and everyone should enter by the steps rather than jumping, because cold water affects breathing immediately.

Adults aged eighteen and over only, with photo identification checked at the door on every visit. Nobody under eighteen may enter, wait inside, or watch from the landing, and there is no discretion about it. The room opens Thursday to Saturday from eight in the evening until one, with last entry at half past eleven.

Yes. Tell the desk or the door team and you will be refused entry for the rest of your stay, without discussion and without it being mentioned again. Support services are listed on the responsible play page, and printed copies are kept at the desk.

No. The gaming venues north of here are independent businesses with their own owners, rules and age checks. We have no arrangement with any of them, receive nothing for mentioning them, and cannot make anything happen on your behalf inside them.

Because eleven rooms do not need one, and because we would rather tell you what a weekend will actually be like before you commit to it. The enquiries page opens your own email application with the details written out; nothing is submitted or stored by this site.

Everything is settled at the desk when you leave, by card or cash. No deposit is taken for a normal stay and no card details are ever requested by email. If you need an invoice for a company, say so at check-in.

Three days from the date of our reply. After that the room goes back into the book without another message. If you need longer because you are arranging travel, ask and we will usually say yes.
