What this website collects
Nothing. There is no analytics script, no tag manager, no advertising pixel, no embedded video, no web font loaded from elsewhere and no third-party resource of any kind. Every file that makes up this site is served from one place. This site sets no cookies and stores nothing in your browser.
The enquiry form does not submit anything to a server. When you press the button, a small script on the page assembles the text you typed into a message and hands it to your own email application. Until you press send in that application, nothing has left your device, and nothing you typed is recorded here.
Server logs
The web server that delivers these pages keeps ordinary access logs, as almost all web servers do: the requesting address, the file requested, the time, the response code, and the browser identification string sent by your device. These logs exist for security and fault-finding, are not used to build any profile, are not combined with anything else, and are discarded on a rolling basis.
What the house keeps when you write to us
If you send an enquiry, the desk keeps your message and the reply thread so that the arrangement can be honoured. That normally means your name, your dates, the number of people, and anything you chose to tell us about access needs or food.
- Enquiries that come to nothing
- Deleted within six months of the last message.
- Stays that happened
- Kept for the period required for tax and accounting records, then deleted.
- Dietary and access notes
- Held only until the stay ends, then removed from the working file.
- Lost property records
- Held for three months alongside the item, then both are cleared.
- Complaints
- Kept for two years so that patterns can be spotted and answered honestly.
What we never do
- We do not sell, rent, share or trade personal information with anyone.
- We do not send marketing email. There is no list to join and no newsletter.
- We do not ask for card numbers, bank details or identification documents by email.
- We do not track which pages you looked at before writing to us, because we cannot.
- We do not use your message for anything other than answering it.
Identification at the games room door
Photo identification is checked visually at the door of the top-floor room to confirm that a guest is eighteen or over. Documents are looked at and handed straight back. Nothing is scanned, copied, photographed or written down, and no record of who entered the room is kept beyond the working shift.
Your rights
You can ask what the house holds about you, ask for it to be corrected, or ask for it to be deleted where there is no accounting reason to keep it. Write to the desk and you will get an answer within thirty days. There is no charge for a reasonable request.
Security cameras
Cameras cover the front door, the seaward ramp and the courtyard gate only. There are no cameras in corridors, rooms, the supper club, the pool deck, the rinse room or the top-floor room. Recordings are overwritten after fourteen days unless an incident is being dealt with.
Changes to this page
If any of the above changes, this page changes with it and the review date at the top is updated. Because nothing here is tracked, we cannot tell you personally, so the current version is always the one you are reading.
